Sell...Sell..Sell

3 weeks ago we tried selling some silver coins and proof sets at the auction house. We were not really expecting a good output but we were very surprise. Because silver coins and proof sets has definite prices, we then set our maximum price each item. We are grateful that bidders at the auction house still wants the item on the set price. So my husband and I has decided that we must start collecting or buy different proof sets to sell again at the auction. So far we ordered some and hopefully we will do good this round. If this will work thoroughly, we might do this every month as an additional income.

Yard Sale Today

Had another yard sale today and I think they made a decent money today. Probable if not for the weather, many furniture will sell. But oh well, we can open again next week and hopefully the weather will cooperate. Spring is almost here though. You can tell because the trees are starting to blossom.

2010 Lincon Penny

I was amazed when my husband showed me the new 2010 Lincoln penny with a union shield design on reverse side. I though they have already stopped producing new pennies after the tribute they've did to President Lincoln last year 2009. But of course I already got some for our collection. Here's some information for this new coin.

The 2010 Lincoln Cent will debut a brand new reverse design for the long running series. This will mark the seventh reverse design used on the Lincoln Cent since its introduction in 1909. The first design used from 1909 to 1958 featured a pair of wheat ears. The second design used from 1959 to 2008 featured a view of the Lincoln Memorial. The next four reverse designs were issued during 2009 to represent the different stages of Abraham Lincoln’s life. The design to be used from 2010 onwards will feature the union shield.

The union shield features thirteen vertical stripes joined by a single horizontal bar at the top with the inscription “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of many one). This symbolizes the original thirteen states joined together in a single compact union. A scroll appears across the shield with the denomination “One Cent” and “United States of America” appears above the shield.

Finally Purchased The Books

As I've mentioned earlier that I am planning to purchase the twilight book series - all 4 of them, for my husband this Christmas. Yes, I finally purchased the books this morning. Kinda sad and happy feeling though. Why? Sad because I was late on purchasing the books which is a lot more cheaper if I purchased them yesterday. But happy because it was on only 5 bucks additional for my purchase..Lol..Oh I can't wait to receive the books and mail it to my husband on the boat. Hopefully he will like the books and will enjoy reading it.

2009 Lincoln Presidency Penny

Yes, it is finally out. I already got some for our coin collection. This is the 2009 Lincoln penny - The Presidency. This will be the 4th and the last design on the Lincoln pennies.

The fourth and final redesigned 2009 Lincoln penny launched on November 12, 2009, at 10:00 AM ET at the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial on the west side of the US Capitol. The design represents Lincoln's Presidency in Washington, DC from 1861 to 1865.

The fourth 2009 Lincoln Pennies, or cents, portrays the half finished United States Capitol dome in Washington, DC. The coin also bears the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE CENT.

It was designed designed by United States Mint AIP Master Designer Susan Gamble and sculpted by United States Sculptor-Engraver Joseph Menna.

Budgeting

Budgeting sometimes is very hard especially if you do not have enough money to cover everything. I experience this all the time and was just trying my best to caught up everything. It's hard though but that's all I can do.
