Unbelievable

Unbelievable! Although I love piercing but I don't see myself to look like this. This ridiculous. I know to some people it's their fashion, I don't blame them though but it's not just healthy to look at. I couldn't imagine the pain he got in doing piercing every space on his face. Oh my God! But Oh well, it's the choice that he make and probably loved it by looking on his face. He seems happy about it.

Astounded

I was browsing the web and I was astounded by this image. Wow!..I never thought that there's such a thing as big as this but it does exist. Just imagine how much meat you will get from this fish..lol. I am not sure what kind of fish is it because I just grab the photo and wanted to share it to guys. But for sure it's edible I guess and boy by just looking at it, it seems so heavy. The fish is just as tall as the man underneath..Lol..I wonder if he could manage to breath with a huge fish on top of him..

Active Trak

With our economic down stream, people losses their jobs and now suffering from the effect. The people that are left and able to keep their job has now a double responsibility from the person who laid off. Talking about pressure huh and organization, well it is certainly hard but there's one company that could help cope up the work. This company is active trak. They are the leading monitoring productivity software, that has a number of important benefits for companies of all sizes. One of the most important benefits of using such software is that it that it can be absolutely invisible for employees. This is amazing and one great help for a company whose manpower is not enough. They can help companies of all sizes identify both stellar employees and those who are not performing up to expectations. By identifying and quantifying the productivity of every worker on the staff, they can give the management team the hard numbers they need to back up their hiring and termination decisions. Check it out!

Another Lazy Day

Another lazy day for the pregnant lady..Lol. I am just watching the Hallmark channel right now where all the movies are about Christmas. It's a great channel though but made me miss my family back in the Philippines. Oh well! How about yo guys, how did your day went?Is it getting colder now? Well it is in here..Just be safe everyone and have a great evening!

Black Friday Madness

Since I got here in the states, I have been hearing this black Friday thing everywhere. At first got confused and got curious what it is all about and why they call it black Friday. So my husband explained it to me and that's all what it is. It is a huge sale happening right after thanksgiving. Department stores will give from 50% up to 70% discount in most product that they have. It is pretty clear to me now and just this year the Black Friday 2009 is back once more. Didn't get the chance to go because I was kinda worried. I know it will be too crowded and not really good place for a pregnant woman like me. For sure, a lot of people woke up early and headed to different stores for the black Friday madness.

Home Entertainment With Direct TV

Direct TV has been around the market for how many years now. They have serving most of the consumers here in the United States. Even if you do a survey, Direct Satellite TV is still the leading television network in the market. I would attest to that because we have been using this service for a while now and it gives us satisfaction on our entertainment. The programs are awesome and the connection is just amazing.

What I love about their service is I can still watch my program on a different time slot if I missed it on a regular time slot. They have this western and eastern time which enable us to watch any program twice. Meaning, if I missed Survivor series that is usually aired around 7 Thursday night, I can still watch it around 10 in the evening on the same day. This is what amazes me because I will never miss my favorite programs on TV. And tell you what they have over 200 channels to choose from.

Aside from there great deals such as channels and time slot. Location is not a problem too. If you live somewhere in the United States, lets say Florida, they can still reach you through Direct TV in Florida. Isn't that amazing that they will come to you just to offer you a great service and an awesome package for your entertainment at home. What more you could ask for? Get direct tv now!

Thankful

This is my second Thanksgiving in the United States. So far so good but how I really wish my husband were here to celebrate with us. But I am very thankful for the life that I have right now. I thank God for providing us so much blessings and giving me 2 wonderful people in my life, my husband and our daughter. Next year, we will celebrate as a family and I am so excited just thinking about it. We can't wait to see our baby soon and we will do our best to be a good parents for our precious daughter Adelie Mae.

AntiVirus 2010

I always freak out whenever my computer is messing up with me. The first thing in my mind is, oh my goodness, it must be virus again. Yes, I have been attacked by so many viruses in my computer and thankfully I survived fixing it but there was really a time when I don't have any control in the situation and all I can do is stare on my computer. It's like, hopefully the next time I turn this thing on, everything goes back to normal..Lol! But of course that's not the end result as always. Computers that are infected by virus is really a pain in the butt especially if you not a computer geek. Aside from it takes time to fix it, it is also expensive. If I am not mistaken, I had to bring my computer to an authorized technician 3 times this year already. Good thing it is still under warranty or else I'll end up broke from the expenses incurred in fixing it. The technician had always recommended an updated antivirus with antispyware. But I am hard headed sometimes. To me, as soon as my computer is back working, then I'll forget about everything they said. Sooner I have learned my lesson and did what they recommend to do. So far my computer is working fine and I get to do the things I need to do in a daily basis with my computer. Now, the antivirus that I have purchased is about to expired and I am currently looking for a new and updated antivirus for my computer. I have heard about Norton and I think it has a wide range of features that will protect my computer from any virus and spyware. And I also think that this is much better than the antivirus I am using right now. I will definitely not wait til my current antivirus will expire and will just go ahead and download Norton Antivirus 2010.

Baby's room theme

Winnie The Pooh and Tinker Bell is the theme on our baby's room. I find it so cute and very colorful for our baby's eyes and for entertainment as well. We bought a bunch of Winnie the pooh stickers and tinker bell as well. The Winnie the pooh stickers will go to the walls of the room and the tinker bell stickers will go in the ceiling. We can't wait to get the room decorated and things in place before I deliver Adelie Mae.

Security Is A Must

With the crime going on and off everywhere, I am very alarmed for our safety. I want to make sure that we are safe around the house especially that my husband works offshore and alone at home all the time. I am very aware for our Home Security most especially that our first baby is on the way. I talk to hubby about this already and he is concern about our protection as well. We've thought about buying a Home Security Systems that will protect us from any harm and any danger.

I know it will be an added expense to our budget but being safe is more important to us. Just recently, our neighbor next door was robbed by unknown gang and hubby was very alarmed about it. He is so worried me being alone at home 24/7 without any Home Security Monitoring. That's why he is really determine to purchase a home security protection for us. I would say that this will be a great investment for both us and a great protection for our family.

We started looking and so far our option is the ADT Home Security System. Knowing hubby, he won't just purchased right away without doing a thorough research on the company. But so far he is contented with the reputation of ADT and the services they offer. ADT is offering a home security monitoring in all state in the US. From Alabama to Wyoming, ADT is there to secure your home. We are confident that ADT is the best home security to worked on. Check out yourselves too and be safe always.

Left arm is sore

My left arm is sore right now. Why? As I mentioned on my earlier post that they gave me a swine flu shot yesterday and drew some blood as well on the same arm..Ouch!..Hopefully I don't get sick or feeling weak by this because I have lots of things to do around the house. I don't know, lately I have been so lazy and just wanted to lay down in the couch and do nothing but sleep..Lol..Oh well, I will just try to be productive today but honestly, I am getting sleepy while writing this,, Wheewww..I guess it's almost my nap time..Hehehehe..Well, I better take my afternoon nap now so that I'll be on time to watch my show later. Have a good one!

Best Running Shoes

Exactly 29 weeks today is how far my pregnancy is. My husband and I are getting anxious, excited and nervous. We can't wait to see our little girl soon and it is getting closer as the day goes by. Speaking of which, my husband is also concern about my health. Since I am on my third trimister, it would be best if I start getting some exercise everyday.

This is something he brought up to me, that we better start doing some exercise everyday. It is not just for my health, he said but for the preparation on the big day as well which is my delivery. He is definitely right about it and to do so, we started looking for a pair of running shoes for both of us. This will help me do my exercise more comfortable and more safe on my pregnancy.

I am glad that he brought this up and we are fortunate that there's a website as well that has a huge selection of the things we need to get started. I am talking about Zappos.com who's been in the market in providing best quality product of running shoes. We are confident that we will get the best deal and the best prices we are looking for as well as the quality of the product for a long lasting use. I am excited to get this plan started together with hubby. This will be a new bonding for both us together with our little one inside my belly.

OBGYN's Appointment

I went to my OBGYN's appointment yesterday and everything went well. They gave me swine flu shot yesterday. Thank God I finally got it. I was worried that they may not have the vaccine again but I'm glad they have. They also drew some blood for my glucose test and still waiting for the result. My doctor told me if there is any complications with the test they will just call me but if not I will just see her on the next appointment which is a couple of weeks from now. Yes, since my appointment yesterday, my appointment will be every 2 weeks now which is good because they can monitor more about my pregnancy. My doctor said that Ady Mae is doing good and guess what I gained so much wait..Waaaaah! Oh well, it's for our baby so there is nothing to worry about it. That is all the happening yesterday and I am glad it went well. Have a great Tuesday morning!

Shoe Fanatic

My husband use to ask me, what's with the shoes that you can't help yourself not to buy..lol.. Well to me it's a girl thing and I just love to collect shoes. I admit, I have tons of pair of pair in my closet and some of them were not even worn for once but still I don't stop buying for a new one for my collection. My husband doesn't understand that scenario, Oh well. Just recently I came across a website that has a huge selection of customized shoes. Oh my, I love all the shoes. If only I can afford to buy them all, I already did. Hehehe..But I may not afford to buy more but certainly could buy a pair. I just love their selection and the affordable prices that they're offering. I am truly sure that it is worth every buck you spend on their website. Visit now!

Budgeting

Budgeting sometimes is very hard especially if you do not have enough money to cover everything. I experience this all the time and was just trying my best to caught up everything. It's hard though but that's all I can do. I try to pay our bills on time, although we end up no extra money anymore to do something for ourselves, it's fine as long as bills are paid off..lol..Well it's true, I prefer staying at home with my husband with a peace of mind from the notices you receive rather than go out of town and when you get back home notices are stock up..Hehehehehe..Oh well, our economic situation is really affecting everyone and all we can do is make the best out of it.

Clearer Vision

Was visiting Zenni Optical's website and man they have the huge selection of holiday frames for everyone. The one in the picture is what I'd like to have. You see how cool the design is? Oh I would love to wear this all the time. Honestly, I should have started wearing glasses since I was 12 years old but I refuse to. I don't know, I just don't feel like wearing one. But as the time passes by, it is getting harder for me to see something without a pair of glasses and whether I like it or not I have to follow what my doctor prescribed before. I ignored it for a long time but this time I'll take it as an advice. Choosing the right pair of glasses for me is very easy now and the right place to go is Zenni Optical. Even my parents in law uses this website in purchasing their glasses. What amazes me with their product is they are categorized according to the prize you are willing to pay. Like for example you want the $8 worth or so glasses, they have it and you have the full line of different kinds and different design. Amazing! No wonder they are patronized by so many consumers and highly recommended by everyone because of the affordable prizes they have plus the awesome services they offer to their clients that's why they keep coming back. As you can see on the picture, their glasses are fashionable as well and very trendy. Pick yours now!

Comedy Shows On CBS

I am just watching David Letterman's show. I like this show because it makes me laugh and the guests were great too because they are so cool and just go with the flow of the show. David is a great host and a well experienced one. No wonder the show is still aired every night and patronized by so many fans. I also like Craig Furgeson's late night show too as well as comics unlesh..Hehehehe..

My husband is still at work that time and I don't know who is coming in. Last year dad's sister was here but this time I guess we got no company. Well, nothing unusual. It would be great if hubby could make it but I understand. To me it will be a normal day but don't get me wrong, to me thanksgiving is everyday because I have the most important person in my life, my hubby and one on the way our baby.

Being a computer junky I browse the web all the time. I don't know, it's just me being curious on what's happening in the world of technology. And speaking of the internet, today I came across this website that has a very interesting content. It is a forum though were everyone gathered and voicing their opinion to the rest of the member. The name of the forum is Puaforums. com.

It's pay day and I went out to run some errands today. It was tiring thought but I had fun though. My father in law went with us usual..Lol..We went to the mall to look for a jewelry for mom and we found one but he didn't bought it but he will be on the first of the month. We also had our luch at Mandarin and yummy got to eat some Asian food again. We also went to Walmart and bought some groceries. Got my list a while ago but geeee, I forgot to write down the dish washer detergent..Brrrrr!!Oh well, I will just go back tomorrow then, net to mail some stuff anyway..Hope you guys had a great day today and happy weekend.

Time Is Gold

I can still remember how my grandparents particularly my grandmother who showed me their old collections. Seeing their collection in a huge box makes me wonder, why they do that and what are they going to do with it. Of course I am still young and not old enough to understand the value of things that surrounds me. I wasn't aware that the items they have showed me were valuable enough or worth something. Well kids are always kids and that's me when I was growing up. I was only instructed not to touch nor missed up with it. As I grow older and becoming curious to some things, I can now understand how valuable those collections are and I can still remember about that wall clock that my grandmother has shown which was way to old, older than her. To me the clock that she showed me was very special and very expensive so to speak. One time I came across this website that has a huge collection of grandfather clocks. I remembered my grandparents suddenly. But with this discovery on the internet makes me think and makes me feel interested in buying this beautiful piece as a remembrance of my grandparents. It may be great if they gave me one but having this piece will keep them remembered and it has a sentimental value to me.

Motherhood

The little one is moving right now. Wheeww!! Hopefully she won't kick me so hard again..Lol..I always love the feeling when our baby move. It is a different feeling, an unexplainable feeling for a soon to be mother like me. My husband also loves it when Mae is moving. Just the moment that we experience that she iis letting us know that she's fine is a great feeling. Sometimes she kicks so hard that hurts but that is fine. I would rather let her kick me from time to time because I am assured that she's there and active rather than not feeling her at all. It freaks me out when I don't feel her moving sometimes. What I do is shake my tummy or wake her up..hehehehe..my bad, well I am just a mother who wants to make sure my little one is okay.

Online Shopping Deals

Shopping, shopping, shopping. I guess that's everybody's love. People buy things everyday especially now that the holidays is fast approaching. I do shop sometimes but my soul is not really into it. I mean don't get me wrong, I still buy things that we need but shopping is not really my thing unless the "on sale" tag is up, then that's a different story.

Speaking of shopping, did you know that you can also get a cash back rebate while spending your money? Yes you have heard it right. You can even do comparison shopping on which online shopping deals has the best to offer. On sale product is just everywhere. To me, I think this is the best way to save some buck and get the best deal during the holiday.

So go out and check in your area. Or go online and see the complete best deals that they've got just for you. Be a wise shopper. Be a great money saver with the help of most online shopping websites that will every consumer enjoy what they have purchased. Bring out your list now and start shopping.

Lazy Preggy

It is one of my lazy days again..Wheeewww!!.. I don't know I just don't like doing something lately. I always feel tired and doesn't want to move and want to go lay down..Oh my a lazy preggy..Lol..Well, I just don't really force myself to work on something that I don't feel like doing. I am guessing because of the weather..Excuses...excuses...excuses...blame it on the weather. It is kinda chilly outside and because of that, all I want to do is get some rest..Hehehehehe!!!Have a great evening everyone.

Modular Home Plans

Having your own house is every couples dream. I would love to have our own someday. My husband and I just got married more than a year ago and currently living with his parents. Well, we have our own bedroom, kitchen, living room and baby's room. But you always have that feeling of wanting to have our own and to have privacy as well. Yes it is our dream that we will eventually move out and start our own and we are very positive that we can do it to start our own family with his parents around us. Don't get me wrong, it has also an advantage of living with them but sometimes you come to the point that you can only do such thing for them and start our own or prioritize our own instead. I talk to my husband about this matter too and he has nothing against it. In fact he likes the idea to buy our own property to start a family especially that our first baby is on the way. It is my dream or our dream to just live by ourselves, build our family together and enjoy our privacy. By discussing about this matter, we come up to an option of looking into buying a modular home plans. This is something that will help us save some money and will help us get started on own feet. Aside from that, the foundation itself of the house is very fantastic and worth every buck that we will pay. This kind of homes are built inside under ideal conditions in a controlled environment meaning the houses are never subjected to the vagaries of the weather. The lumber doesn't warp because it doesn't get rained on, and then baked by the sun. It also doesn't lie in the mud exposed to the elements, as sometimes happens on construction sites. And the workers and subcontractors who construct these homes don't get rained on or frozen. It could give home owner a less and more easier work when it comes to maintenance. See or yourself!

Excitement, Nervous,Mixed Feeling

Lately I have been experiencing this "uncomfortable" feeling. Well part of pregnancy I guess. I experienced a very mild to dull abdominal pain. Back pain which is very annoying at times. I think I am experiencing this so called " Braxton Hicks" right now. Oh well, I just have to deal with it but sometimes it just so frustrating because I am not use to it and the feeling of not being comfortable makes it so hard for me to do things around the house. Wheewww! I am on my 7th month of pregnancy now and things are really getting closer. I am excited at same time nervous. Well not only me though but my husband as well. I am excited because soon we will be able to hold and see our little one. I am nervous because I have lots of questions running around my mind. Lots of "what if" are build up everyday..lol.. Can I do it? What's the feeling when your there? Can we survive? Wheewww! Those are just some of the questions though. But I will do my very best on the day that I will deliver our baby. I also have this feeling or should I say "mother's instinct" that I will deliver our baby sooner than my due date. My doctor said that my due is on February 9, 2010 but I think I will deliver our baby around 3rd week of January or last week of January. I don't know but I just have that feeling though. Well, we just have to wait. I am also praying that my husband could make it on the day I deliver. What I mean by that is, he works offshore and most of the time they are in Texas which is 10 hours drive to get to the hospital..wheewww that's quite a long drive for him and I know he wants to be there with me so bad and so I am. I know God will let the two of us experience the greatest gift our lives, our baby girl. We are really excited seeing her soon.

Online Casino

My husband and I use to go to a casino and just have some fun. Yes it is quite expensive but the fun we get and the moment we spend with each other is priceless. Just recently we went down the coast and played at the casino. But sometimes you always wish to just play at home together and doesn't need to travel for hours. Well, this might be a granted wish because online casino in now in web too. Amazing! Now we could play at home. Less driving, saves some gas and time travel. Glad to know about this innovation. Check it out!

The Good Wife

Oh my God I so love this show since it was aired on CBS 2 every Tuesday. Alicia is such a good actress and a junior associate as she portrait on the show. The show is the new hit drama on television right now. I really like her attitude though. A very strong, determined and smart woman. Here's some of the buzz..

Alicia Florrick is a good wife, but that doesn't mean she is never attracted to other men. With her cheating husband in jail for corruption, who could blame her if she indulges in a little flirting? In this episode, Alicia becomes attracted to her handsome co-counsel (Chris Bowers) and his unorthodox approach to their case, which is defending the daughter of one of the firm's partners.

Missing my hubby

It's another and another day closer to seeing my baby ( husband) I miss him so much. We talked on the phone a while but not for long because we are on roaming service and it charges a lot to our phone bill. Right now we are trying to save some money though wheewww!!..How I wish my husband is here right now. I can really use a hug. I'm just feeling so down. You know that feeling sometimes that you are perfect. I know no one is perfect but that feeling you wishing you can do more but your capability is limited.

Generation Equity Complaints

I wasn't really aware what generational equity complaints is but as I go through to their website it enlightens me and gives me more idea on whats behind it. It is a social welfare topic that centers around younger generations paying for older generations. This is a website about arising complaints with our economy and any matter that we can complain under any administration. Most people will complain right away if things aren't right and some people will even ignore it and will just it alone and that's it. Well to me it is always important to express your opinion in order to address what's wrong and to come up with a solution.

Experts question motives of mammogram guidelines

Cancer experts fear new U.S. breast imaging guidelines that recommend against routine screening mammograms for women in their 40s may have their roots in the current drive in Washington to reform healthcare. Critics of the guidelines, issued on Monday by the U.S. Services Task Force, an independent panel sponsored by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Quality, say the new guidelines are a step backward and will lead to more cancer deaths.

Here are some of their concerns.

* Dr Carol Lee, chairwoman of the American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Commission, said she fears insurers -- both private and public -- will use them to pare back health costs. "These new recommendations seem to reflect a conscious decision to ration care," Lee said in a statement. She said since the onset of regular mammogram

Home Security

Securing our future is a must because it is for our own good. Securing our family from any harm and danger is a must too by way of protecting them in and out of the house. Nowadays, even if you are in your own house, bad things happen and people who doesn't soul and only has self interest will do certain things like robbing or killing somebody as their way of living. Palin says presidency "not on my radar screen"

Sarah Palin said a run for the White House in 2012 is "not on my radar screen right now" as the Republican carefully did not close the door to a possible candidacy in an interview that launched her big book tour. Palin spoke to TV talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey as she began the roll-out to her memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life." Palin made clear she wanted to concentrate on the 2010 congressional elections in which Republicans hope to make inroads into Democratic majorities in the U.S. Congress. "I'm concentrating on 2010 and making sure that we have issues to tackle," Palin said in the interview taped last week and broadcast on Monday. "I don't know what I'm going to be doing in 2012. (Running for president is) not on my radar screen right now." The former Alaska governor and unsuccessful 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, who is popular among many U.S. conservatives, has embarked on a campaign-style media tour to promote Tuesday's release of her book. Her appearance on Winfrey's program, one of the most watched daytime shows on U.S. television, comes as political insiders watch her every move to see if she may launch a bid for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Winfrey actively supported Democrat Barack Obama during last year's campaign. Palin is to hit a dozen states during a book tour that will take her mostly to smaller cities. The initial printing of 1.5 million copies promises the memoir written with a ghost writer will be an instant best-seller. If Palin is to seek higher office, she'll have to overcome some political headwinds. A Washington Post/ABC News poll found that 60 percent of those polled said Palin was not qualified to serve as president and 52 percent viewed her in unfavorable terms. Among Republicans, however, her positive rating was 76 percent. The interview with Winfrey was interspersed with home video showing Palin playing with her grandson Tripp, exercising in shorts, and staying out of her daughter's way during a Halloween trick-or-treating excursion in their hometown of Wasilla, Alaska.A self-styled "hockey mom" during the 2008 campaign, Palin directed her at-times tart tongue at CBS TV anchorwoman Katie Couric and Levi Johnston, who fathered a child out-of-wedlock with Palin's daughter Bristol and has since become a Palin critic.

Guilty plea' in balloon boy case

The US parents who triggered a major alert by claiming their six-year-old son was adrift in a helium balloon are to admit charges, their lawyer says. Falcon Heene's mother is to admit false reporting to authorities and his father will admit attempting to influence a public servant. Falcon's disappearance became a media drama but he was later found at home. Police accused the family of masterminding the 15 October incident as part of a publicity bid. The couple, who have three children, will enter their pleas at Larimer County Court on Friday, a statement from their lawyer says.

Police search

The incident in Colorado led to a media storm.he couple reported that their young son had been carried away by a helium balloon - whose progress was then tracked by news organisations. Police carried out an intensive search for the boy after the balloon landed about 64km (40 miles) north of Denver and was found to be empty. But it then transpired that the child was hiding at home and days later the couple were accused of an elaborate hoax. According to a statement from lawyer David Lane, Mayumi Heene, 45, will admit a misdemeanour and her husband Richard, 48, a felony. Mr Lane said Mr Heene agreed to "fall on his sword" by admitting the felony charge to prevent his wife - a Japanese national - being ordered out of the US. The stipulated sentences for both are probation, his statement said, with the possibility of up to 60 days in jail for Mrs Heene and up to 90 days for Mr Heene. Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden had earlier suggested that the couple could have faced charges of conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor - which carry jail terms of up to six years.

Best Steaks

Steak is one of my favorite food. I don't get it much when I was still in the Philippines. If I am not mistaken I think I only ate a few steaks way back home because it is expensive and just can't afford buying it from time to time. When I move here in the United States, I ate it every now and then. I felt lucky and blessed that I get to eat what I have not eaten before. Sound so dramatic but it's the truth. Here's at the house my father in law usually prepares the food and most of time he will cook some steaks for us. He'll buy steaks with a nice cut and juicy meat on it for everyone. He likes doing that and like me he likes to cook. He is the king of the kitchen here in the house. Since he is the one who buys the grocery from time to time. I came across this website that has a huge selection of different kinds of steaks such as USDA prime. Not only that, you will fall in love with the different variety that they have. They have kobe beef, roasts, dessert, never frozen steak and many more. I think you can have everything on this website as I was checking it. For sure dad will love to shop on this website, can't wait to tell him. The nice thing about this website is that, they are not only selling different variety of food but they also have recipes that you can prepare for your family. Amazing! It is like doing a one stop shop.

Hurricane Ida

Some Gulf Coast residents hunkered down at home and in shelters Monday while others ventured outside to watch the approach of a rare late-season tropical storm that brought the potential for high winds, flooding and up to 8 inches of rain in some places. After a quiet Atlantic storm season, many took the year's first threat in stride. "We can ride it out right here," said T.J. Covacevich, 50, who wore a "Hurricane Hunter" T-shirt as he tied down his powerboat in a Biloxi, Miss., harbor. A rain-packed low-pressure system that Hurricane Ida may have played a role in attracting triggered flooding and landslides in El Salvador that killed at least 130 people. Near New Orleans, a 70-year-old man was feared drowned Monday when trying to help two fishermen whose boat had broken down in the Mississippi River, said Maj. John Marie, a Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's spokesman. A wave knocked him into the water. Monday evening, Ida was located about 40 miles (60 km) southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River and about 125 miles (200 km) south-southwest of Pensacola. It was moving north-northwest near 17 mph (28 kph) and was expected to make land late Monday or early Tuesday. An observation site near the mouth measured a gust at 74 mph. Ida had been the third hurricane of this year's Atlantic season, which ends Dec. 1, but weakened with maximum sustained winds near 70 mph (110 kph). The U.S. National Hurricane Center said it was expected to weaken further before making landfall along the Gulf Coast. Rain was already falling along the coastline and winds had kicked up the surf. Nancy Box, 68, of Gulf Shores, Ala., said she hoped the storm fizzled but did not want to chance riding it out in her elevated town house on the beach. "They said the waves were going to be pretty high," she said. "The last time there was a storm, they came over the berm, and I don't swim." Forecasters predicted Ida's storm surge could raise water levels 3 to 5 feet above normal. Tropical storm warnings were out across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, where governors declared states of emergency. Florida Gov. Charlie Crist warned that tropical storms can still be deadly. He pointed to Fay, which was blamed for more than a dozen deaths in Florida, Haiti and the Dominican Republic last year. "That thing was a tropical storm and we lost a lot of our fellow Floridians, so it's important to stay vigilant," Crist said outside the state emergency operations center. "We need to be careful." Residents elsewhere in the Southeast braced for heavy rain. In north Georgia, which saw historic flooding in September, forecasters said up to 4 more inches could soak the already-saturated ground. Two Chevron Corp. workers had to be rescued early Monday from an oil rig about 80 miles south of New Orleans that was in danger of toppling as Ida churned up high seas. They were not hurt. There were no plans for mandatory evacuations, but authorities in some coastal areas opened shelters and encouraged people near the water or in mobile homes to leave. Many schools closed, and several cruise ships were delayed as the U.S. Coast Guard closed Gulf Coast ports. On Dauphin Island in the Gulf of Mexico south of Mobile, Ala., Bobbie Buerger, owner of Ship & Shore Supplies, a general store that sells everything from groceries to fishing supplies to hardware, said she was staying. "I'm going to try my best to hang through it. It's not been bad yet," she said. "There's been people buying candles and bread, the essentials. But there hasn't been anybody leaving yet." In Robertsdale, Ala., a handful of evacuees showed up at the Baldwin County Coliseum, which had enough room to shelter 3,800 people. In Louisiana and Mississippi, officials were concerned about hundreds of people still living in federally issued trailers and mobile homes after hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. Some storm-hardened residents of Bayou La Batre, Ala., who had lived through Katrina rolled their eyes at the mention of the tropical storm. Rick McClendon, the owner of the Bayou Shirt Co., says he and other residents refuse to scramble. "We're not panicking. After you go through Katrina, it's got to be a big storm to panic. And this isn't," he said.

Britney Spears in Australian 'lip-synching row'

When she arrived in the country last week, a Sydney newspaper ran a front-page story complaining that Spears would not be singing live during 15 two-hour concerts on her tour. The issue set online comment boards alight with indignation, and Virginia Judge, the New South Wales minister for Fair Trading, poured further fuel on the fire by saying Australians would not tolerate a "Mickey Mouse" performance by Spears. Ms Judge even suggested that concert tickets should carry disclaimers about whether parts of concerts were pre-recorded and mimed. Then came reports that scores of fans had "stormed out" of the Perth performance, angry that the star was miming. Fans reportedly said the stage show was "boring", "stiff", and "lacklustre". The furore has incensed Paul Dainty, Spears's tour promoter. "It's the biggest lie I've ever heard. I'm so angry," he told the Australian newspaper. "We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly – that's something you have to live with – but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication." Dainty said Spears had been traumatised by the negative coverage. "Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it. "She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting." Dainty said it was incorrect to suggest that fans had stormed out of the show as early as the third song after paying between $200 to $1,500 to see the 27-year-old singer who has rebuilt her career after a high-profile meltdown. Before her world tour started in March to promote her sixth studio album, Spears had only done a handful of live concerts in recent years as her personal life ran out of control. This included stints in psychiatric care, an ugly divorce, losing custody of her two sons and shaving her head. Dainty said it was well known that part of the Spears concert was lip-synched and blasted any inference that this was hidden. "It's been all over the internet for nine months," he said. "This show is about an incredible spectacle, which it is." Spears' manager Adam Leber took to Spears' Twitter account to defend the singer to her 3.7 million followers. "Its unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did." he wrote. The management from the Burswood Dome in Perth, where Spears' show was staged, told local reporters that they had not received any complaints from the 17,000 people who were at the show. A similar number attended Spears' show the next night as well. Thousands of fans flooded Spears' personal website and Twitter to congratulate her on her comeback, describing her Perth performances as "amazing", "awesome" and "brilliant". The tour continues in Melbourne on Wednesday.

What Pregnant Women Need To Know About Swine Flu - Risks, Statistics, Prevention and Vaccination

This was sent to my email and I would like to share this to everyone especially to all pregnant women.

A pregnant woman who suspects that she might have swine flu should call or see her doctor immediately. In fact the CDC even advises that pregnant women should call their doctor if they've been in close contact with anyone who has swine flu.

Facts about Swine Flu in Pregnant Women

  • Up until mid-October 2009, 6% of swine flu related deaths in the US have been in pregnant women.
  • Pregnant women have also been hospitalized more as a result of swine flu compared to the general population.
  • Pregnant women given seasonal flu shots in a recent study passed the positive effects of immunization to their unborn child, significantly reducing flu sickness in babies younger than 6 months.
  • The new H1N1 vaccine for pregnant women is currently undergoing trials to determine its safety. So far flu shots have not been deemed harmful for pregnant women.

Why are Pregnant Women at Higher Risk from Swine Flu?

Pregnant women are a high-risk group for swine flu complications because the illness may cause complications such as pneumonia and premature labor. A woman's immune system may be somewhat weakened during pregnancy, making her more susceptible to illness in general. And anything that causes a pregnant woman distress may ultimately cause fetal distress as well.

How Can Pregnant Women Prevent Getting Swine Flu?

The precautions for pregnant women are the same as for the rest of the population. The top things to do for prevention are:

  • Regularly and thoroughly wash hands
  • Avoid contact with people infected with swine flu
  • Get a flu shot

Are Swine Flu Vaccinations Safe for Pregnant Women?

The first step in swine flu prevention is protection. Pregnant women can significantly reduce their chances of contracting swine flu by getting an annual flu shot. Flu shots for the current strain of the H1N1 flu virus are expected to be available by October 2009 for the flu season lasting through February 2010.

Pregnant women should consult with their doctor to schedule a flu shot as soon as one becomes available in their region. The CDC advises pregnant women to get two vaccinations: a seasonal flu shot combined with the H1N1 (swine flu causing) flu shot. Taken together they are more effective in protecting pregnant women and their fetus from flu-like illness. Both flu shots are regarded as safe for pregnant women to take.

What Should Pregnant Women Do if They Have Swine Flu?

The best course of action for an infected pregnant woman is to stay at home, avoid infecting others, and call or see her doctor right away. The doctor will most likely put her on anti-viral medication such as Tamiflu or Relenza. If she has a fever, she can take acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol). A typical course of anti-viral medication runs for 5 days and can be taken anytime during pregnancy. It has not shown to have any harmful effects on the growing fetus.

Travel To New York

Being a first time resident here in the United States is amazing. I wasn't even expecting that I will be residing here. It was a dream come true. United States before was only a dream and just thinking about going to this place is impossible but it happens to me. I am not bragging about it but it was one of the greatest thing that ever to me. Who could ever think that I am already here and with the love of my life. Yes my husband resides here and he brought me here. I lived my whole life in the Philippines but my life is more meaningful now that I am with the person I truly love and can't live without with. I have been here for over a year now and my adjustments are doing pretty. It's hard sometimes but manageable. We live in Mississippi and I love the place. I have to some States too and it amazes me that I personally went there because before I only look at them in the picture. I still want to visit more States but it may take time because I am pregnant with our first child now. Probably if things are settled, I already give birth and our baby could travel, I want to visit New York. Right now I can only see the views of New York on television but one day my family will be there ( my husband, our baby and me ). I wanna see and most probably dine in one of New York romantic restaurants. That would be so amazing! I know this place has lots to offer, not only a restaurant but some New York Attractions. I cannot wait to travel there and see it myself. That would be so great.

Soldier kills 11 in shooting rampage at Fort Hood army base

A U.S. Army major firing two handguns killed 11 people and wounded 31 others in a shooting rampage on Thursday at Fort Hood base in Texas, a prime point of deployment for U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Army said the gunman was killed. U.S. broadcast media identified him as Major Malik Nidal Hasan, and said he was a psychiatrist who was facing an upcoming deployment to Iraq. There was no immediate official confirmation of his identity. U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas told FOX news: "I do know that he has been known to have told people that he was upset about going (to Iraq)." U.S. military officials say the shooter's motives were still unclear. The incident at Fort Hood, the largest military installation in the world, was one of the worst killings reported on a U.S. military base. In May a U.S. soldier at a base in Baghdad shot dead five fellow soldiers. It raised new questions about the toll that six years of continuous fighting in Iraq...Read More!!!

Back at work

My husband is going back to work early morning tomorrow. It is sad but it's the call of duty. I understand it though but sometimes, you always have that feeling that how I wish he stays longer and spend more time with each other. Well this is one of the sacrifices we are dealing right now and we know it will be so worth it in the future. I will just miss him because I always want him to be on my side all the but as the provider in the family, he has to work.

Security

Life Insurance must be the most important thing a person should have while living in this world. It is something that will make your family secured in the future if something happened. But what really a life insurance is and what does it has to do with every individual. A life insurance is policy that offers financial support to the dependents and beneficiaries of the person insured. It provides a measure of financial security to your beneficiaries (family, loved ones) so that upon death they will be able to meet financial responsibilities that were previously covered by your income. Payouts on policies can be paid in a lump sum or in several installments. It is clearly stated the benefits you are getting or your defendants or beneficiaries are getting just in case something happen. I personally want to have a life insurance. I have been thinking about it and doesn't really got the chance to look for a company who can meet fit my need. I thought about it because we will never know what will happen tomorrow or the next few days. It is always better to be prepared and secure your families future in the long run. Speaking of which, I came across LifeInsurance.org which is the leading resource with objective information and advice for people looking to buy life insurance. They also provides a free search engine to find leading life insurance quote providers who can provide the right type of coverage for you and your family. Amazing! This is what exactly I am looking for a company. They provide consumers with objective information and the tools so they make an educated decision on what product is best for them. What they do is they educate and provide you an access to leading providers. This is definitely the right company you want to work with for your families future security. Check it out!

Here is a Swine Flu Update: Makes sense to keep in mind.

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at using a Neti pot, but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton swabs dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C. *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

Shower Enclosures

My parents in law were on the process of building their masters bedroom and one thing on their shopping list is the bathroom facilities. They have been looking around for some Shower Enclosures as well as vanity, shower head and more. Well, I was browsing the web and I found this website that has all their bathroom need. And they don't even have to go out to shop and all they do is order it online. They are the Custom Glass Shower Enclosures. They have their huge line of major home improvement product that are very affordable and very accessible. I will definitely recommend this website to my parents in law since they have been looking for this particular items for so long now. The operation was even shut down because the materials are not available yet. But with this website, they can resume their work now and have their masters bedroom finished in due time.

New mobile device does Twitter and only Twitter

The Twitter Peek, which debuts on Amazon.com today, flies in the face of the "everything-and-every-app-you'll-ever-need-in-your-life" marketing used to promote today's smart phones. This hand held device does Twitter and nothing but Twitter. The question is are there enough people out there who will shell out as much as $199 for a one-trick pony?Executives at Peek Inc. of New York aren't betting on the tech-savvy crowd. Rather, they believe the Twitter Peek will interest customers who own simple, inexpensive cell phones, yet still want to read their Twitter news updates and other tweets away from the desktop. "Twitter's more useful on a mobile device,'' said Peek founder and CEO Amol Sarva. You might remember Peek's first products introduced last year - the Peek Classic, which just does e-mail and costs $19.95, and the $59.95 Peek Pronto, which accesses up to five e-mail accounts and can send and receive text messages. Each requires a wireless service plans that start at $15 per month. Unlike the earlier Peeks, named one of Time Magazine's Gadgets of the Year, the Twitter Peek doesn't do e-mail or texting. I've been testing a demo model for the past week and it does its one-and-only job well enough - it provided an easy way to read my Twitter feeds. On the device, I learned that Mayor Gavin Newsom dropped out of the governor's race, that the Giants hired a new hitting coach named Bam Bam and that Twitter co-founder Biz Stone saw a spider outside his window. It looks like an older Blackberry and comes in a Twitter-style aqua blue or charcoal gray. Fittingly, it can chirp when a tweet arrives. The display lists the start of each message and who it's from, and you click a scroll wheel on the side to view the entire 140-character tweet. Handy keyboard shortcuts let you jump from one message to the next or start a new tweet. And one new feature rolled out last week gives you the ability to view links. One minor quibble: I found having to double-click on the side scroll wheel to view a tweet clumsy. At launch, the Twitter Peek costs $99 for six months, which includes the monthly wireless data service through T-Mobile, and $7.95 per month afterward, with no service contract. Or you can fork over a one-time $199 payment that includes wireless service for the lifetime of the device. Is it a better experience than something like a Twitter-specific app on an iPhone? No. But Sarva says that's not the point. He argues that not everyone wants to spend $100 to $300 for a smart phone and another $30 each month or so for a data plan. From that point of view, he calls it "the better way to Twitter.'' I'm still not convinced there's going to be a big market for the Twitter Peek because people who opt for a cell phone that only makes calls probably aren't going to be hooked on Twitter enough to want to buy and carry another single-purpose device.

Mafia War on Facebook

My husband is so hooked with Facebook now specifically Mafia Wars. He likes the game as soon as I introduced it to him. At first I just let him play with Farm Town and Farm Ville but he got bored with and now Mafia war is really his game. He is having fun with and he even had his brother hooked to it too..lol

Gold Investment

In today's economy, it is best to invest in something that retains it value. Even as economies recover you want your own investments safe. Gold and silver bullion while it may fluctuate never completely loses it value and gold bullion is up at all time highs right now and going up. Yes this a great investment for everyone. It may be a bit expensive but your money is very worth if you own one of this.

Hedge your bets even more when you buy gold coins. They will always maintain their face value and make great collection pieces for the one wanting to start their own collection. My husband and I have been investing with coins. Any kinds of coins especially silver and gold. Our collection is growing and hopefully it will grow more in the future. We know having this collection is a great investment for both of us especially if gold value will go up.

So whether you are looking to find a good investment or wanting to collect something that maintains it's value like a gold coin. There are no better time than now. Even the coins I bought 5 years ago are worth for times what I paid for them. I have already proven how valuable they are. So think about it and good luck to all.

Want a GSM Motorola DROID? Say ‘hi’ to the Motorola MILESTONE!

The Motorola Droid is all the rage right now. It’s chock full of Android 2.0 goodies like Google Maps Navigation and enough smartphone hardware to satisfy even the hardest core of mobile enthusiasts all wrapped in a slim, yet masculine, package. But, Motorola is going to have to look beyond Verizon’s CDMA network to go truly global. In fact, Motorola’s already got O2 Germany in its sights. Yup, O2 will soon launch the GSM version of the Motorola Droid/Sholes as the Motorola MILESTONE.

O2 lists of the price of the MILESTONE at €404.20 ($595), but that number should get a nice little price-chop after some carrier subsidies. The O2 website shows the Motorola MILESTONE looking every bit the GSM Droid we expected it to be, which is a good sign that German’s won’t have to wait too long before picking up their MILESTONE. We’ve already seen the GSM Droid pass through the FCC and pop up in Vietnam, so it’s not surprising to see it going official in Europe.

Costume Store

This year is the most memorable and the most scariest Halloween Celebration that I have ever had. Actually it is my first time though because last year, we are not able to go to some haunted house because they already closed. This year it was such an experience. I got scared so bad, to the point that I don't want to try it again. Good thing my husband was there as well as my in laws and some other friends too us and just have fun for the Halloween. It was a great experience and great memory to treasure especially that we have done it together ( my husband and I ) and also our baby. Although she wasn't born yet but were glad she was part of it. But next years Halloween will be a bit different because she will be born and will personally experience the Halloween. My husband and I already had planned for her costume. Hehehehe...Yes we are not that excited don't we. And speaking of costumes, I came across this Costume store online. Not only that, they also have a Halloween decorations and everything that you need for this celebration. I am getting anxious to see and be able to hold our little one soon and experience a celebration like Halloween with our child because Halloween is really for children. Oh I can not wait to see my girl doing trick or treat next year. I am glad to find this website as my reference in shopping for my Halloween stuff. Check out their website too.

USS New York comes 'home' to harbor

ABOARD THE USS NEW YORK - The USS New York, built with steel salvaged from the fallen Twin Towers, entered New York Harbor Monday and paused for a moment in the waters off Ground Zero to honor those lost in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. A detail aboard the 684-foot, $1.2-billion amphibious assault vessel fired a 21-gun salute from the fantail of the ship. Firefighters and onlookers from the shore acknowledged the salute, while aboard the ship the head of the September 11th Families' Association, president Lee Ielpi, had tears in his eyes thinking about his son, Jonathan, 29, a firefighter and father of two killed on 9/11 - as well as all those who gave their lives that fateful day. "I'm thinking of my son," Ielpi said, as he watched the ceremonial exchange Monday. "It's a good day. We're smiling through our tears." The USS New York's bow was built from 7.5 tons of steel salvaged from the fallen World Trade Center. The ship officially "came home" at 9:59 a.m., when it moored at Pier 88. It is in town for a commissioning ceremony Saturday. Escorted by NYPD helicopters, one of the newest ships in the Navy fleet sailed under the Verrazano Bridge to a welcoming rainbow off Staten Island - and was acknowledged by fire boats shooting streams of red, white and blue water into the air near Governors Island. "It's fantastic," Cmdr. Curt Jones said. "It really does feel like we're coming home." The New York is one of four ships of its type currently either in service or ready for service. Another four are being built, including two named for the other Sept. 11 sites: the USS Arlington, named for the attack on the Pentagon; and, the USS Somerset, named for the field in Pennsylvania where United Flight 93 crashed after passengers overwhelmed terrorists. The USS New York is the latest in a long line of so-named ships dating back to a Revolutionary War-era gondola and including a 36-gun 19th Century frigate, a 74-gun ship of the line, a screw sloop, a Spanish-American War-era armored cruiser, a World War I-era battleship and a nuclear sub named USS New York City. "It's wonderful being on this ship," said the chaplain, the Rev. Laura Bender of Lake Ronkonkoma, an 11th-generation New Yorker and one of about 10 Long Islanders in the crew of 359. "The ship for me is a symbol of how life always comes from death and strength comes from adversity. I really feel we are sailing the World Trade Center home and there will be a lot of healing just by moving past Ground Zero and saluting the site and receiving a salute back from the fire department." The morning aboard the USS New York began with reveille at 4 a.m., a tradition that Monday was followed by a fitting tribute to the ship's roots: a recording of Frank Sinatra singing "New York, New York." Before docking at Pier 88, next to the aircraft carrier Intrepid, the ship ran up the Hudson to the George Washington Bridge, then turned around and returned to the pier Monday. The ship's boatswain, Fred Tiedemann of Woodside, a 26-year Navy veteran who oversees the deck equipment, said he has served on a dozen ships. But said this one is special. "I'm from New York, and I know some of the people who went down in the towers," he said. "It's going to be pretty special" returning the seven and a half tons of steel to Manhattan. "It means a lot to the crew." VIPs and Sept. 11 first responders were flown out to the ship by Marine Chinook helicopters, including Ferg Foley, chief operating officer for American Defense Systems, a Hicksville defense contractor. On Sept. 11 he was the senior officer in Manhattan for the Army National Guard and spent two weeks coordinating the response at Ground Zero. "It's amazing" to be onboard, Foley said, "just knowing that it has some of that steel from Ground Zero and that it represents the fighting spirit of the United States. You can sense the pride of the servicemen and women working on the ship." For Lt. Melissa Proud of Glen Cove, the supply officer, the New York is her second ship in a decade in the Navy. She has been aboard for more than a year. She said the New York and its sister ships are the first to have "sit-up bunks" that give the crew enough space to sit up in the beds that are stacked three deep. The lower levels of the ship are largely occupied with a hangar bay filled with two helicopters and two levels below where vehicles from a tank to a Humvee are parked, along with two amphibious air-cushioned troop carriers powered by a pair of giant propellers that are launched from a floodable well deck. On the wide bridge Sunday, more than a dozen personnel navigated with charts and radar and other video screens, while one sailor steered with a small black wheel and Jones, the captain, watched from a padded chair on the starboard side. In the center of the pilothouse floor was the ship's emblem showing the Twin Towers and a phoenix rising from the ashes.
