Norris shelled as Astros lose to Diamondbacks

It took Bud Norris less than an inning Sunday afternoon to give up more runs than the Astros had allowed in their previous three games, leaving a tremendous crater for his teammates against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Astros’ bullpen and offense tried to rally back, but they still lost 7-5 as they couldn’t overcome the six-run deficit they had after two innings. Attempting to complete a three-game sweep, the Astros were down 5-0 after one inning and 6-0 after two while seeing their four-game winning streak end. Norris gave up six runs on six hits with three walks and one strikeout over one-plus inning. Over his last two starts, the rookie righthander has given up 15 hits and 11 runs over 6 2/3 innings.
